A Hundred Thanks!!

Dear Kindergarten Families,
A hundred thanks for the fun 100th day celebration!  All of the Grandmas and Grandpas looked great!  We had a 100 year old parade and counted 100 steps from everywhere around the whole school!!  (that’s A LOT of steps AND a lot of counting!!)  We made a train of 100 unifix cubes.  It was longer than Owen! It was longer than Madeline who is the tallest third grader! (we had third grade helpers today!)  It was even longer than Mrs. Foran and Mrs. Caulfield!!  When Mrs. Foran and Mrs. Caulfield put their arms up, our teachers were taller!

We had fun answering 100 silly questions and did funny 100 day work!  We hopped 100 times ON ONE FOOT!!  Whew! We clapped 100 times (and that made our hands itchy!) Natalie and Charlotte felt quite certain that adding up Mommy’s age plus Daddy’s age would equal 100.  Richard and Annie also have elderly parents.    My guess is:  Daddy 77 / Mommy 23… J
We made a line with 10 of our friends to make 100 fingers!  There are 100 fun things we did!  And of COURSE, we ate the gorp stew!  YUM!  Thank you for helping make our celebration so much fun!

Today we will do some Math problems with our pennies and we will measure 101 eye drops of water! So many fun things to do, we need more time!

Now it’s time for our next celebration!  Valentine’s Day! We will celebrate on Tuesday, February 14th.   Children are invited to bring Valentines for our class.
23 children

Please do not write names on the cards. (it’s okay if you already did!  J)  Children may also bring a wrapped treat if you wish.
